Despite the numerous improvements accomplished during the HR Review initiatives, the faculty, departments, and HR still face challenges in the new hire transactional processes, and issues that have been compounded by the increase in volume of hires post-pandemic. The TA-hiring is particularly problematic given the reliance on the admin tool, paper-based and manual procedures. A revamp of the current new hire transactional processes is urgently needed. The objective is to expedite the automation in this area, streamlining the processes and enhancing the new employee experience before commencing their employment.
HR is actively collaborating with key partners to explore potential interim solutions in advance of Fall 2023, while also building out a streamlined longer-term solution for 2024.
