The Leave Management project aims to streamline and simplify many of the HR processes related to employee time off. The SPS A1 project works to support the implementation of the new SPS A1 policy. As of July 1, 2020, the updated SPS A1 policy will implement a support model which seeks to surface and mitigate explicit or implicit biases in order to assess a candidate’s merit in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The aim is to consider the university’s employment equity gaps in the active recruitment of self-identified women, persons with disabilities, First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples, persons who are members of racialized communities [visible minorities], and LGBTQ+ identified persons in order to further academic excellence.
