External Tuition Bursary and Assistance

This project will create online forms and automated workflows to manage the submission, approval and processing of Tuition Bursary and Tuition Assistance applications for employees and their spouses and/or dependents who wish to study at an institution other than McMaster.

Outcomes

These processes will be intelligent, integrated, automated:

  • Drive greater speed, accuracy and efficiency
  • Eliminate manual tasks
  • Apply complex rules and calculations
  • Intelligently route tasks for approval
  • Where applicable, automatically updating the system database.

Approach

The cross-functional nature of this project has required a collaboration between Human Resources, Finance and Student Financial Aid to design a solution using existing system functionality for issuing payment of the benefits. In addition, new Mosaic eForms functionality will be introduced to support the online intake process for these applications.

  • The implementation of an online application process for the External Tuition Bursary for Dependants and Spouses was completed on August 31, 2020

What’s Next

  • Digitization of the application process for External Tuition Assistance is currently underway
