Assess the current and desired state for recruitment and talent acquisition for both faculty and staff focusing on the important of efficiency and effectiveness in attracting world class talent to McMaster. Develop and implement plans to close the gap between current and desired states.
- Continue to introduce tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of current practices with special emphasis on reducing the time from job posting to offer acceptance.
- Assess the requirements and develop process to support researchers in recruiting highly qualified personnel.
- Review best practices at other comparable Canadian and world class Universities. Consult across campus to assess key stakeholder requirements. Project scope to include the development of an “employment brand” that integrates McMaster EDI principles and values and the workflows relating to applications, resume/candidate screening, reference checking, managing hiring process, links to job data, supporting resources.
