Overview
The purpose of the HR Review Governance at McMaster is to:
- Align the HR Review projects with overall HR mission and strategy
- Ensure accountability for the implementation of HR Review projects
- Have transparency in decision-making
- Identify appropriate audiences and communication channels
- Create appropriate stakeholder representation
- Clearly define roles and responsibilities
- Manage and reduce of risks

The PVP receives updates on the second Tuesday of each month. The PVP approves project plans, assists with utilizing resources and helps to resolve any constraints.
The HR Review Steering Committee meets monthly and receives updates from the HR PMO. The Steering Committee is a cross functional team of university leaders that guide, advise and approve project activities related to the implementation.

The HR PMO is responsible for establishing the methods and tools such as project management, continuous improvement and process mapping in order to implement strategic projects that support the 7 recommendations. These tools and methods will be used for all HR projects to create an environment of sustainable change.
The HR PMO is an agile project team, and people will join the team based on the active projects and priorities.
HR* contributes at all levels of the HR Governance framework. HR functional areas includes the HR Service Centre, central HR, Faculty of Health Sciences HR (FHS HR), the Faculty Relations Offices (FHS and Provot’s Office), as well as HR area representation from across campus.
HR representatives participate on various projects when opportunities for engagement and direct project involvement arise.
Partners from Financial Affairs and University Technology Services (UTS) will work with the HR PMO to support in the implementation of the projects and priorities.
